TGV Cinemas, one of Malaysia’s leading exhibitor and multiplex cinema operators, will be welcoming movie lovers not one but two TGV cinemas today.
The locations are AEON Bukit Mertajam in Penang and Permaisuri Imperial City Mall (PICM) Miri in Sarawak, which is the first of many TGV cinemas to come into East Malaysia. TGV Cinemas Bukit Mertajam has seven halls with a seating capacity of 840, while TGV PICM has eight halls with 1,191 seating capacity, which include 72 of TGV’s Beanie seats.
“This is precisely why our new locations are located either in central business district areas, housing areas or neighbourhood retail malls. Each one represents a strategic location whereby friends, colleagues and family patronage and spend time together,” said the Chief Executive Officer of TGV Cinemas, Gerald V Dibbayawan.
Yesterday, TGV Cinemas organised an open house at TGV Cinemas PICM and Aeon Bukit Mertajam as part of their opening promo movie goers received popcorn sets out and free screenings of blockbuster movies. The movies are Transformers: Age of Extinction, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, Interstellar and Maleficent.
The promo doesn’t end there as TGV Cinemas will also be organising the 30 Days of Goodies in all their new locations whereby each day, customers can claim a free goodie from TGV Cinemas such as movie passes, popcorn and drink vouchers as well as movie premiums.
“This is just the beginning. In time, we be sharing more of our other unique features like our special event screenings such as our TGV Family Screening sessions, which are becoming increasingly popular amongst young families and TGV Halls of Horror. Moreover, we also look forward to sharing our innovative concession offerings like our Popcorn Royale which is our signature popcorn, innovative popcorn flavours such as cheezy corn, roasted chicken, kimchi and curry,” elaborated Dibbayawan.
