‘Bond 24’ – New Bond title

In Skyfall we saw the new M played by Ralph Fiennes bring an end to Judi Dench’s M era. During the 50th anniversary of the series it’s also confirm that Naomie Harries will be playing Moneypenny.

Recently MTV News spoke to Fiennes for Wes Anderson’s “The Grand Budapeset Hotel,” he said he is still kept in the dark about the movie but confirms on the filming dates.

“It’s meant to start shooting in October,” Fiennes said.

With Daniel Craig continuing as the man with license to kill, there is not much is known about the upcoming 007 movie.  Sam Mendes will be directing again, but without the help of master cinematographer Roger Deakins. “Skyfall” co-writer John Logan is providing the script, which Fiennes has yet to read.

“I haven’t read a script yet, so I can’t tell you much,” he said. “They’d probably swear me to secrecy anyway.”

The movie is set to be released on the 29th October 2015.

RIP – Harold Ramis/Ghostbusters 3?

On Monday, we lost the iconic Harold Ramis. With his passing speculation has been running around about Ghostbusters III been cancelled but good news the movie is not cancel and it’s a confirm that the movie is already in progress.

The new film, which has been locked in development for a number of years, was due to feature a cameo from Ramis and the other original Ghostbusters. Harold played who played Egon Spengler in the original films, would have appeared in character alongside Bill Murrayand Dan Aykroyd for the first time since 1989’s Ghostbusters II.

The new movie would be about the old gangs passing the torch to the new generations. The Hollywood Reporter’s confirmation that studio Sony is still planning to feature the veteran comic is therefore something of a turnaround.

For those who forgotten the music theme, here you go.

Saving Mr Banks – Review

Tom Hanks is back together with Emma Thompson with a warm hearted movie with is guarantee to get some tears coming out. The story is about the author P.L. Travers straggling with her own in the adoption of Mary Poppins before the big screen.

Mary Poppins is about a magic nanny comes to work for a cold banker’s unhappy family. Ms Travers childhood is some what similar to Mary Poppins story but in a different perspective. Walt Disney jumps into the picture and break the hard, rude Ms Travers and made her realise that she had to let go of the past and look forward to the future.

Check out the trailer here –> Saving Mr. Banks

P.L Travers character played by Emma Thompson and she was magnification. FYI, this is not Emma’s first time in a Mary Poppins movie adaptation. Previously she played Nanny McPhee, a Nanny with magical powers without the penguins.

Ms. Travers lashes her fangs even in the beginning of the movie. Even the Sherman brother were put to shame, but Disney really knows to melt any grumpy ladies with his charm and Disney Land.

Snowpiercer – Review

A bunch of people stuck in a train for 17 years and what do you get? An AWESOME uprising. The Korean director, Bong Joon-ho has shown us that Korean are not only good in horse dance but heck directing aswell. The movie which features Chris Evans aka Captain America has none stop action.

The  movie is set in a far future where the earth is frozen due to mankind’s own doing(not suprise). A runaway experiment to stop global warming has caused an ice age that killed nearly all life on earth. The only survivors are the resident of the a moving ark, a perpetual-motion engine train that stop at nothing and travels around the planet.

The story starts with classifying the train occupant;

1. First Class

2. Economy Class

3. Freeloader

Ofcourse the first and economy class were treated well and had sushi twice a year but the freeloader are the worst. Instead of proper food they are serves with protein blocks with ingredient that only it’s best for you to watch. The uprising start with the unsettle leader Curtis Everett who wished a better life for the people of the last coach who he call his family. He started planning and with some help from Gilliam played by John Hurt he start getting help from the first class coach. Their mission is to control the engine of the train. They believe why controlling the engine, they control their life.

The story line is really good and nothing I have watched before. Bong really researched Jean-Marc Rochette’s graphic novel and executed in a Hollywood manner. This is Bong’s first Hollywood movie in which the movie is shot 80% in English and 20% in Korean.

Fantastic Four Cast Reveal

So who are the new Fantastic Four reboot cast. You would be surprise with the fictional superhero team members are. The team is a combo of hotty, little, hmmm, and who.

With the new cast would the movie be much better than previously? That question you have to answer yourself but for us, we have mix feelings.

Kate Mara – Invisible Woman

kate mara

You have couldn’t missed her in Iron Man2. She was the hot US Marshal waiting for Tony at the sporty Audi. This hotty was also in Brokeback Mountain as the younger version of Alma.

She is the great-granddaughter of the founder of the New York Giants, Timothy Mara and Art Rooney, founder of the Pittsburgh Steelers. She often sings the national anthem at Giants home games.

Her latest movie Transcendence along side with Johnny Depp.

Jamie Bell – The Thing

We are surprise when this little Englishman is selected as “The Thing”. Totally not what we were expecting even-though The Rock would be an awesome choice but we guess Billy Elliot could safe the world dancing in a carrot suit. That would play.

He has been a little under radar after the Billy Elliot. He has some good movie like Jumpers and Snowpiercers but mostly overshadowed by the leading actors.

Micheal B. Jordan – The Human Torch

He come along way since his days in Sapranos and Cosby. He been surviving with tv series until 2012 where he landed a role in Red Tail. Since then he has been trying out movies and even loaned his voice in Justice League:The Flashpoint Paradox for Cyborg. Fruitvale Station really game him a jump start in his career, and his latest movie “The Awkward Moment”.

But could he carry the Johnny Storm character without any flare from “The Awkward Moment”? Well the director’s thought so as he was the director’s first choice. Well, only time could tell.

Miles Teller – Mr. Fantastic

He looks like Taylor Swift’s ex-boyfriend but we can reassure you, he is not. Beside working together with Michael B.Jordan in “The Awkward Moment”, nothing else we could think off but the director must have been pretty drunk. But did you know that Kit Harington, Anton Yelchin and Jack O’Connell also audition for the role Mr Fantastic.

A mixed cast of yay and nay but we definitely hope that they would give a better wardrobe for the reboot. “Fantastic Four” is scheduled to hit theaters on June 19, 2015.

The Monuments Men – Review

Good to know that this movie doesn’t remind me of Harry Potter. The movie assembles some of Hollywood legends such as George Clooney, Bill Murray, Bob Balaban and John Goodman. It might sound and look like Ocean’s Eleven but unfortunately it doesn’t come close.

The movie start during the World War 2 start, Frank Stokes convinces the at time president-Franklin D. Roosevelt – to  allow his team to save timeless relic. Due to the war, many relic and buildings has been destroyed. Also at the same time, Hitler was trying to steal the relics for his own museum

The small platoon consist of seven guys – Frank Stokes(George Clooney), James Granger(Matt Damon), Richard Campbell(Bill Murray), Walter Garfield(John Goodman), Jean Claude Clermont(Jean Dujardin), Donald Jeffries(Hugh Bonneville), and Preston Savitz(Bob Balaban).

After some basic training the men landed themselves in the middle of war to start saving these relics. James Granger landed himself in France and met the French lady, Claire Simone. Claire was the curator in one of the museum and was force to secure art works for Hitler.

The storyline is good but however it losses it’s direction along the way. The movie jumps alot from one character to another character without any link of the previous character or scene . Due to this, it’s hard to understand what’s going on. A very poor movie by George Clooney indeed.

However if you love arts, well this movie is for you. Works by Michaelangelo, Rembrant, Picasso and Da Vincci are shown and how Hitler stole those artworks.
