Lady Sif to be in Thor: Ragnarok and more

In an interview with Jaimie Alexander a.k.a Lady Sif with LA Times told that her character has more appearances in Thor: Ragnarok.

“There’s a lot of great stuff they’ve peppered in through Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D., The Avengers [and] Captain [America: Civil War] will have some stuff,” Alexander tells the newspaper’s Hero Complex blog. “There’s just all kind of Easter eggs and hints, if you’re really paying attention. They’re so good at interweaving everything throughout those films.”
Now based on the S.H.I.E.L.D. series so far we know the Lady Sif came down to earth to hunt Lorelei; an Asgardian sorceress – whose power only work over men. She manage to capture Lorelei and return back to Asgard. Just when we thought it’s over, Heimdall instructed Lady Sif to stop a Kree who is currently residing on earth. However, the Kree named Vin-Tak being a Kree retaliated back and this resulted her losing her memory.

She regain her memory ofcourse but some where in between, we believe that the good Captain and the Lady cross path. As some news has been surfing around that Captain America: Civil War to cross path with Thor: Ragnarok. Could she be the reason? We will update you more soon.

Ant-Man – Review

Ant-Man, the latest addition to phase 2 of Marvel’s Cinematic Universe was widely expected (myself included) to be a flop when news broke out about the resignation of its scriptwriter and director for most of the movie’s filming, Edgar Wright due to creative differences with the studio.

It’s fair to say that the relatively unknown new director, Peyton Reed did not disappoint with Ant-Man easily being one of the most naturally funny movies in the past couple of years.

Synopsis (Spoiler-Free)

 The Gist of It:

Good guy thief, Scott Lang is given a high-tech suit to steal high- tech…. stuff.

Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) is offered a chance to be the hero he truly is when he is recruited for a heist job by the original Ant-Man, Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), to protect the secrets of Pym’s shrinking technology from people who would misuse it such as his protégé, Darren Cross (Corey Stoll), who would eventually become Ant-Man’s nemesis, Yellow Jacket.

DJ- Review

Ant-Man isn’t your average superhero movie. As how Iron Man 3 was considered to be a technological thriller, Winter Soldier a conspiracy fiction, Ant-Man is essentially a heist film. Note: It’s also probably the funniest Marvel film to date.

What makes Ant-Man different is that it’s technically not a superhero origin film as this is about the 2nd person to take over the mantle of Ant-Man. So while it retains its status as one of Marvel’s superhero introduction/ origins movies, it skips the whole process of the slow plot build-up you’d usually see in those movies.

Michael Pena who plays Luis, was without a doubt the best character in the entire movie. He was hilarious in every scene he appeared in.

Paul Rudd projected his natural charm and wit to his character, Scott Lang, so that’s a definite plus in terms of casting.

I believe the only flaw with the entire movie was the villain, Darren Cross aka Yellow Jacket. The actor who played him, Corey Stoll was really good but it was the writing of the character that I’ve issues with. Yellow Jacket had close to no depth and was basically just evil dude doing evil things with an evil smile on his evil face.

Apart from that, I was entertained throughout and I believe it would definitely entertain moviegoers all around the world.

Ant-Man is one of Marvel’s better movies and if I had to pick a comparison for it, I’d compare it with heist-comedy movies such as The Ocean’s Eleven rather than a superhero movie like Captain America.

Funny, charming and very family friendly, Ant-Man is a solid debut for what will almost certainly develop into a meatier and more assured trilogy.

 Rating: 8/10

Favourite Line: I think our first move should be calling the Avengers.

p/s: Yes, there’s a seen after the credit and one you shouldn’t miss.

Who is the Ant-Man celebrity ambassador for Malaysia?

Perhaps its just about time we need a something to divert the attention of the attention. Walt Disney Studio has appointed the hunky Aaron Aziz as the Ant-Man celebrity ambassador for Malaysia. According to the press release, Aaron Aziz embodies the charisma and positive attributes of Scott Lang.

DSC00011According to Amit Malhotra, GM of Studio Entertainment:
“We are constantly looking for creative ways to connect and engage with our fans. With Aaron Aziz as Celebrity Ambassador and the social media campaign for Marvel’s Ant-Man, we hope Malaysian fans will feel excited and inspired by the movie’s thrilling yet heartwarming plot and charismatic super hero.”

A move that would be seem good seemingly good to encourage the local movie goers to support Marvel’s movie as DC Comic is still filming their movie with non to release this year.

Scott Lang a.k.a played by Paul Rudd is to be release in Malaysia on the 16th of July 2015.
