X-Men Origins: Deadpool

You seen the trailer and heard about the legendary unfiltered mouth which is Deadpool. From the previous introduction of Deadpool, the 2009 X-Men: Wolverine – we saw Wade Wilson a.k.a Deadpool didn’t have an intact ending.(His head was falling down a nuclear reactor which was crumbling down aswell.) As the merc with a mouth, Deadpool has a super fast healing powers and extremely good with swords.

So let’s freshen up your memory on Deadpool from his introduction in X-Men: Wolverine. To start – he has a big mouth and huge alter ego but however that is covered by his awesome swords play. After Wolverine left the pack, Deadpool was a subject of an experiment that would later on be result to his new abilities. In that timeline(yes timeline) – Wolverine defeated Deadpool by deactivating Deadpool’s head.

As you could see the video above, you will understand how Deadpool was revived. Now the question would be what happen to his other super power such as the ability teleport, ability to release powerful beams of energy from his eyes, ability to heal his wounds, and ability to summon a retractable sword.
Due to X-Men: Days of Future Past, the timeline was disturbed thus resulting to some event to not actually happen. So the experiment did happen to him but however the caused and result of it was different and thus a brand new Deadpool was born.

Deadpool is expected to be release in February 2016 and Stan Lee as always will have a cameo on this. In this round, he will be a DJ at a strip club. One thing for sure, this movie won’t be that silent.

Why is Captain America vs Ironman?

Ever wonder why is Captain America fighting Ironman? Well we have the break down about it. So it starts with the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron. As you could remember, Captain America was seen leading a new set of Avengers comprising Black Widow, Falcon, Scarlet Witch and The Vision.

Now along the way, the new management decides to go to war with Ironman due to some misunderstanding. The good captain policy wasn’t that popular and the Avengers had to take sides. In this third instalment, many new characters will be emerging such as Black Panther, Antman, and Spiderman.

The enemy in this round would be Baron Zemo, a sadistic and highly intelligent human being and we would see the return off Crossbones. Crossbones, as you would remember was burn and badly injured thanks to Falcon’s high dramatic attack. Crossbones return to finish what he started and take revenge on those who basically hurt him in the previous instalment. Another character not to forget is the Winter Soldier himself. Don’t forget, General Thaddeus ‘Thunderbolt’ Ross – the guy who absolutely hates The Hulk.

Vacation – Review

Another comedy movie starring the funny Ed Helms in a what suppose to be a classic about a family travelling to Walley World theme park. There is huge shoe to fill for Ed Helms’s Vacation and will they be able to do it better? Well let’s find out.

Synopsis (Warning: May contain spoilers, duh!) 687883034_4431453791001_vacation-trailer

The Gist of It: Rusty Griswold(Ed Helms) is a normal man who goes to work and comes back to his almost perfect family. His wife(Christina Applegate), a full time house wife has been always contented with her life and just settle in with what her husband could provide but deep down wishes for that extra to life. Rusty and Debbie has been blessed two sons James(Skyler Gisondo); an overly sensitive young boy who gets bullied by his younger brother and Kevin(Steele Stebbins); just an a**hole brother. Rusty decides that the family needs to go on a vacation to reconnect back and decides to bring them to his childhood family vacation spot, Walley World. The journey which started first seemed to be an awesome idea just took a sudden U-turn in midway.

A well planned vacation with a single purpose to reconnect with his family, Rusty had high hopes for this journey to Walley World. First they rented a weird car so that they could spend more time together; a car that has 2 petrol tank and also a EV connector. Not to mentioned that the car has front and back side mirrors. Secondly, Rusty mapped out their routed so that his family will get to re-lived in last journey with his dad.
It started good and their first pit stop was Debbie’s university where she was once called ‘ Debbie Do Anything’. Rusty soon realize he don’t really know his wife as he thought and Debbie also realize that she wasn’t that young.
James, Rusty elder son wasn’t hitting that well with the opposite sex and his father, wasn’t really proper wing man. Next they headed to Rusty’s sister place and along the way they faced some locals that end up robbing them and spraying some ‘creative’ artwork on their car. Meeting Rusty’s sister and his hunky husband wasn’t a pleasure for Rusty. While the wife constantly lingers around Rusty’s husband and his lucky wife, Rusty keep on having high hope that his family will see what he is trying to do.
Rusty and his wife spice up their sex life but that took an unexpected turn when they got caught by 4 different state police.  While the parents are suffering, James his courage and stood up to his bullying younger brother thanks to persuasion of Adena.
Rusty didn’t gave up trying to reconnect his family and took water rafting and even that didn’t work thanks to Chad’s suicide attempt.
The pressure has slowly caught up and finally lost his cool and just left his family in the middle of the dessert. Thinking of the worst, the family slowly realize how they need each other and love each other.

CR- Review

Another reboot movie and this time it’s a funny movie. Honestly if you have seen the original Vacation, you will understand why we are not that hype about it. The original movie was more spontaneous while the Ed Helms version is more scripted. Ed Helms his is funny but the other cast, in our opinion is just holding on to his funny charmed. Christina Applegate had a good funny start with her own ‘Debbie Do Anything’ but it slowly just got drowned. The kids in our opinion is sidekicks and which don’t contribute much in this movie.
Chris Hemsworth did bring out some originality to his character and Leslie Mann we feel still has it after all this year. If Christina Applegate would have swap with Leslie Mann, the movie could have shoot through the roof. That’s just our opinion.
It’s a good movie but not as close to what the original Vacation had to offer.

This is the kind of movie you would bring your 10 years married husband/wife and come out and tell them that your lives is still way better.

Fantastic Four – Review

We are a little late with our review but we had to hang on to it for abit longer as we needed to be sure that our opinion/review aren’t …….*seriously?!*
The short story of Fantastic Four is about a group men who decides to defy the law of physics by transporting organic matter, in which in this case is transporting themselves.

Synopsis (Warning: May contain spoilers, duh!)

The Gist of It: Reed Richards dream has always been about creating a portal that could transport matters from one location to another. His idea draw the interest of Ben Grimm. Together both of them worked on it for years until finally Richards work got recognized by Dr. Franklin Storm, the director of Baxter Foundation. Dr Franklin offered a full scholarship to Richards to continue his studies. Dr Franklin is the father of Johnny Storm; a young delinquent and Susan Storm; an adopted brilliant young girl.

It begin with how Reed Richards(Miles Teller) ambitions and how Ben Grimm(Jamie Bell) became acquainted. The invention finally caught the attention of Dr. Franklin Storm(Reg E. Cathey) and Susan Storm(Kate Mara). After much introduction, Reed continued his work. But however that’s only the half it. Dr. Franklin recruited Victor Von Doom(Toby Kebbell) back to project where Victor left half way.
Next was the recruitment of Dr Franklin so called wild child, Johnny Storm(Michael B.Jordan). The four which is Reed, Sue, Victor and Johnny worked on the project and soon the successfully created a working machine. Their happiness kept short as the Baxter Foundation was pestered by the board of directors to join with Nasa in which it didn’t go well with the team especially Victor.
Reed, Victor and Johnny did the unthinkable to set sail to another dimension with Ben joining them. Ofcourse the unimaginable happens with Victor being left behind and with Reed, Sue, Johnny and Ben absorbing some sort of energy.

CR- Review

A reboot from the previous Fantastic Four, the new one unfortunately don’t come near to it’s predecessor. To begin is the cast in my opinion was badly chosen. Miles Teller might have the basically look and charisma of Reed Richard, but however he fails to bring aggressive part of it. He was very mild and ‘trying’ to hard. Next would be Jamie Bell playing Ben Grimm. Now if you have watched his movie before such as Jumpers and Snowpiercer he was a loud mouth and frontal person but in Fantastic Four, he was mute. Very little dialogues. This where I believe Josh failed to use his cast strength but maybe it’s not entirely his fault as his direction was sidetrack by Twentieth Century Fox Film; according to some his statements.

Not all was bad, the plot were good in the beginning but took a south turn when they introduce Victor’s character. From there onward, some part just seemed rushed leading to movie’s down fall. Victor was suppose to be smart but has to have this dark element but the problem was that he wasn’t all dark and cunning. Like i said earlier, Josh didn’t use the chosen character wisely.

The saddening part is that the climax of the movie in which it didn’t make any complete sense. Victor returned from the alternate world injured and later he attacked everyone who saved him.

As many has watched and criticized there is no way to go around it. The lack of creative mind and i believe production house restriction would have ultimately been the caused of this meltdown.

Mission Impossible Rogue Nation – Review

Ethan Hunt returns with him team of highly specialize skills to fight against an organization as skilled as they are. One of the most anticipated movie of this summer, Mission Impossible Rogue Nation might has returned the “M.I” which almost started to fade away. After the 4th installation of the franchise, serious doubts started emerging on how the Mission Impossible movie line would continue but to our surprise it delivered better than expected.

Synopsis (Spoiler-Free)

 The Gist of It:

Good organization vs Bad Organization

Following the shut down of IMF now Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) is blind with new adversary called the Syndicate. The Syndicate in short is a clone of IMF just that they want new world order via terrorist attacks in which didn’t go well with Ethan and his teams. A handful of IMF which consist of the previous group members, William Brandt (Jeremy Renner),  Benji Dunn (Simon Pegg), Luther Stickell (Ving Rhames) and Ilsa Faust (Rebecca Ferguson) a British agent whose credibility is  questioned.

CR- Review

The won’t die agent is back and this time it isn’t your regular spy movie, well it is a little abit but what I love about it was the manner it was delivered. It still has that quality in which you always wanted to know what the hell do they manage this kind of situation.
What’s new and refreshing is that Benji Dunn has more dialogues and his presents always help neutralize the tension. The rest is all the same with Ethan is an expert car driver, hand on hand combat and the latest is that he could hold is breath for almost 3 minutes.

The new would be Ms Ilsa Faust (Rebecca Ferguson) a double agent whose motive is still unknown. Ilsa Faust character reminds us alot of Emmanuelle Béart character the first M.I movie where her motive was unknown. Either she is a friend or a foe.
Ethan Hunt is more lively in this round, looks more mature and funnier. That’s the cut off part, where Ethan Hunt is funnier which we believe is really the one reason why the movie works this time.
The bike and car chases are still there with better improvement on the angle which a plus point basically bringing the audience a clearer view of the chase.

The upclose and personal concept in which is highly focused on the MI, MI2, and MI3 is no longer there. Which is good as the fans would love to watch and feel the gravity of the situation that the team is in.

Honestly it’s our 2nd favorite after the first MI. The plot is something new and certainly a better the previous installation.

Rating: 8/10

Favourite Line: Desperate times, desperate measures.

p/s: They will tear out a BMW M3 like it’s worth nothing.

Fantastic Four – Contest(ENDED)

FANTASTIC FOUR, a contemporary re-imagining of Marvel’s original and longest-running superhero team, centers on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways. Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy.

Set in contemporary New York, this retelling focuses on the Four before they become a team – when they were four young idealistic adventurers who make a headstrong leap into the unknown.

FANTASTIC FOUR focuses on the human drama of relatable characters that at first don’t perceive their new physical abilities as advantages, but as daunting, if not impossible, challenges.

FANTASTIC FOUR stars Miles Teller (“Whiplash”) as Reed Richards, Michael B. Jordan (“Fruitvale Station,” “Chronicle”) as Johnny Storm, Kate Mara (Netflix’s “House of Cards”) as Sue Storm, and Jamie Bell (“Billy Elliot,” AMC’s “Turn”) as Ben Grimm.

The film also stars Toby Kebbell (“Dawn of the Planet of the Apes”) as Victor von Doom, a brilliant but rebellious computer programmer and Baxter Institute student; Reg E. Cathey (“House of Cards,” “The Wire”) as Dr. Franklin Storm, Johnny and Sue’s father; and Tim Blake Nelson (“O Brother, Where Art Thou?”) as an unscrupulous Baxter Institute board member.

Like many modern day inventors and geniuses, Reed Richards has humble origins.  At age 12, he toils countless hours in his mom and stepdad’s garage in their suburban home in Oyster Bay, Long Island, New York.

There, the young inventor designs a unique matter transportation device that he cleverly cobbled together from parts scavenged from the salvage yard of his classmate, Ben Grimm.  The tabletop-sized device, a “cymatic matter shuttle,” can transport objects from one place to another.

Four years later at his high school science fair, Reed’s innovation catches the interest of Dr. Franklin Storm, Dean of the Baxter Institute, a school and think tank dedicated to incubating the best new ideas from high school and college students.

Dr. Storm asks the young visionary to be part of his elite group of brilliant students.  Reed moves to New York City and joins the Baxter program, where he helps develop a shuttle that runs on the breakthrough technology he’s developed.

One night, Reed decides to test his device, which had never been used on human beings, so he enlists his childhood friend Ben Grimm, along with Dr. Storm’s son, Johnny Storm, and fellow Baxter student Victor von Doom to travel with him to another dimension that resembles a primordial Earth — an entire planet full of natural energy resources that have unlimited potential for those who can control it.

Unfortunately, the amateur astronauts’ mission goes awry, leading to a explosion.  Reed, Johnny and Ben are seriously injured along with fellow Baxter student Sue Storm, Dr. Storm’s adopted daughter, who stayed behind in the lab.  Meanwhile, Victor is missing.

In the aftermath of the Baxter incident, the government quickly ushers the four young people to a top-secret facility known as Area 57, where over the course of three years they are contained, stabilized, probed, and analyzed.

Reed, Johnny, Sue and Ben begin to exhibit unique physical conditions that provide them with incredible abilities: Reed can stretch his body into extraordinary shapes; Johnny can light himself on fire; Sue can render herself invisible and create powerful force fields; and Ben has transformed into a six-foot eight, thousand pound rock creature.

While Washington DC’s political and military industrial brass assess and attempt to harness the these fantastic powers, these four young people must band together as they grapple with their new abilities and, ultimately, attempt to save the Earth from the mysterious and powerful force.

The film is scheduled for worldwide release beginning August 6th, 2015, and will be distributed by Twentieth Century Fox Film (Malaya) Sdn.Berhad. For more info, visit their Facebook at
